Postgraduate Studies
Postgraduate studies represent an advanced level of education designed to train researchers and university lecturers, as well as to conduct research in a chosen field of study.
We offer more than 1,200 academic programs at Russian state universities, including medical, engineering, economics, and humanities fields. Programs are available in Russian, English, and French.
For undergraduate programs, the recommended age is up to 29 years; however, older applicants may be considered individually. There are no age limits for residency or postgraduate programs.
Duration depends on the chosen program. Medicine:
General Medicine — 6 years
Dentistry, Pharmacy, Veterinary Medicine — 5 years
Residency — 2–5 years
Postgraduate Studies — 3 years
Other fields:
Bachelor’s Degree — 4 years
Master’s Degree — 2 years
Postgraduate Studies — 3 years
Preparatory Faculty — approximately 1 year.
Students enrolling in the Preparatory Faculty are admitted without exams. For main academic programs, entrance assessments are usually conducted in the form of testing or an interview.
The price in USD is provided for reference. Payment is made in rubles according to the Central Bank of Russia exchange rate on the invoice date.

Direct transfer is not possible — admission is to the first year. However, after enrollment, the university may recognize previously completed courses, which may allow placement in a higher year.

Refund conditions depend on the duration of study and university regulations. Typically, partial refunds are possible during the first semester. Later withdrawals may not be refundable. Exact terms are specified in the contract.

After receiving your admission letter, the official invitation is processed through Russian migration authorities. This usually takes 35–45 days. Once the invitation is issued, you submit your documents to the Russian consulate in your country. The standard document package includes:

If you choose a program in English or French, a short interview is conducted upon arrival to assess your language level. International certificates (IELTS, TOEFL, DALF, etc.) are not mandatory. It is sufficient if the language of instruction is indicated in your previous education document.
It is a one-year program where students study the Russian language and core subjects to successfully begin university studies.

If tuition has been paid but the student does not enter Russia, funds for tuition, accommodation, and insurance are refunded in full, minus the registration fee and bank charges. If the student has already arrived and started studies, refund conditions depend on the program and stage of education.
It is a one-time payment (approximately 150–300 USD) covering document processing, diploma verification, invitation preparation, coordination with the university, and initial student support after arrival.
Yes. International students may study in Russia under scholarship programs. Some universities and educational associations organize their own annual scholarship competitions for international applicants. These may cover tuition, dormitory accommodation, and sometimes additional expenses. Additionally, international applicants can apply for Russian government scholarships. Keep your university name and printed admission letter with you. After collecting your luggage, proceed to the arrivals area where our representative will meet you. If you cannot find them, remain in the arrivals area and contact us via airport Wi-Fi.
We recommend bringing approximately 1,000 USD in cash for initial expenses such as communication, transportation, food, and basic purchases. Opening a bank card in Russia may take up to one month.

International students are provided accommodation in university dormitories. Rooms are furnished, and buildings include kitchens, showers, laundry facilities, and study areas. Accommodation costs vary by city and university but remain affordable.
International students are allowed to work part-time legally. However, employment typically covers only personal expenses and should not be considered a primary source of income.
The first year is paid before arrival according to the issued invoice. Subsequent years are paid before the academic year begins — either in full or per semester (if permitted by the university).
Migration registration is mandatory residence registration for international students. After arrival, the university usually handles the procedure automatically, but students must submit documents on time. Delays may result in fines or visa issues.
Parents may contact our office via email, providing the student’s details and university name. We will assist in obtaining and sharing the information.
The academic year lasts from September to June and is divided into two semesters.
Winter break: approximately 2 weeks (late January – early February)
Summer break: approximately 2 months (July 1 – August 30)
The initial student visa is issued for 90 days. After arrival, the university assists in obtaining a multiple-entry visa for the academic year. Students must monitor visa validity and apply for extension at least 45 working days before expiration.
Transfer is possible but depends on academic performance, program compatibility, and financial obligations. Consultation is required before transferring to avoid loss of academic time.
